Tasting note - Fine white nectarine and pear, mineral dry.

Mure is a family owned winery that dates back to the mid 1600's. Located near the magical terroir of Rouffach, the family is a reference for the quality of biodynamic wines.  The Pinot Gris Pierres Sèches ('Dry Stones') takes its name from the dry stone wall terraces found in their Alsatian vineyards.  

On the nose, this Pinot Gris has hints of fresh herbs, yellow pear and some mineral stony tones. On the palate it is well balance and perfectly dry.

Coming from plots cultivated in organic agriculture with a blend of Pinot Blanc (25%) Pinot Auxerrois (25%) Pinot Gris (20%) Riesling (20%) Chardonnay (5%) and Pinot Noir (5%). 

The vines are planted in the Rouffach region, on soils dominated by limestone, suitable for the production of fine and elegant creamy base wines.

Open, fresh, elegant; very pronounced and vinous with persistent bubbles. On the palate the wine is lively, easy to drink and distinguishes itself by a remarkable finesse; fresh on the finish with long-lasting aromas and flavours.

This Crémant is a good way to begin a dinner or celebrate a big event!

Where is the lobster? The very complex mirabelle-tart and spice nose pulls you into this stunning dry Riesling that beautifully balances vibrant acidity and ripeness that borders on the exotic. Welcome to the Riesling deep end. Not dramatic, but really profound, with massive structure. This is all wrapped in very refined mirabelle and fresh honeycomb aromas. Great textural complexity and chalky minerality. Flows so gracefully over the palate, gliding off into the distance. A mix of vines planted just after 1945 and young vines from a massale selection. Hand-picked from plots cultivated in organic viticulture, the assemblage isPinot Blanc (25%) Pinot Auxerrois (25%) Pinot Gris (20%) Riesling (20%) Chardonnay (5%) and Pinot Noir (5%). he final assembly is made on the principle of the solera: to the wine of the year is added a wine from previous vintages. These reserve wines are kept on fine lees. This ageing gives the wine an exceptional vinosity and a fine complexity. This display delicious, refined and complex aromas and flavors with great length on the dry lingering finish.

The stunning exotic-fruit-coulis character and wonderful freshness will make you feel this is less sweet than it really is. A long, powerful and extremely lively finish with some minerals lifting it.
