E.A.R.L. Vincent Dauvissat (Chablis)

Probably the finest address in Chablis, Vincent Dauvissat uses plenty of oak but sparingly to add complexity and dimension to his piercingly mineral concentrated wines. Some barriques are 30+ years old. Yields are kept low and the viticultural management here is second to none. They are wines which are never glamorous in their youth, they are tight as drum in fact, and they age ever so gracefully by the decade. As they evolve and develop given appropriate cellar years, they become exciting and comprehensive wines of the utmost sophistication and interest. I have tasted here every year for 29 years and look forward to this relationship continuing with Vincent’s children.
