Mure is a family owned winery that dates back to the mid 1600's. Located near the magical terroir of Rouffach, the family is a reference for the quality of biodynamic wines.  The Pinot Gris Pierres Sèches ('Dry Stones') takes its name from the dry stone wall terraces found in their Alsatian vineyards.  

On the nose, this Pinot Gris has hints of fresh herbs, yellow pear and some mineral stony tones. On the palate it is well balance and perfectly dry.

In recent years we have harvested earlier our Cuvée La Jalousie when the berries are pale yellow and crisp, we obtain that way wines with fresh fruit aromas. In the winery, we interfere very little, respecting the grape: the wine remains in tanks for 9 months on the lees in absence of oxygen. This way it keeps its fruitiness and freshness. It is a wine of conversation that can be served as an aperitif or with fish, white meat. A fairly new style for Savennières.

Blend: 60% Grenache, 10% Cinsault, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Clairette, 5% Bourboulenc

From the most prestegious of Rosé regions, this estate makes brilliant rosé, and the 2021 Côtes Du Rhône Rosé might be the best I've tasted from the vintage. Ripe raspberries, white flowers, and beautiful minerality define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a fresh, elegant, almost crystalline-like texture that keeps you coming back to the glass. Seemingly in between a Provencal rosé and a Tavel, it's going to be incredibly versatile on the dinner table. Don't miss it. Jeb Dunnuck

The castle of Monterinaldi in the commune of Radda in Chianti, is in the heart of the oldest historical area of the Chianti Classico region where the Ciampi family have been the guardians since 1961. Sangiovese of different clones, Canaiolo, Colorino, Malvasia Nera, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Gamay, Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet-Franc, Malvasia Bianca, Trebbiano, Chardonnay, vines planted at a density of 5000 vines per hectare. 

Ruby red colour medium intensity, by the nose it shows a deep sensation of small black fruits with notes of wild blackberry and blueberry. It has a medium body, a pleasant softness is well balanced by the typical acidity of Sangiovese. Silky tannins are very well integrated.

Best great wine to drink at a BBQ

A glorious flagship wine from a stellar name in the Southern Rhône. This organic red made from Grenache, Counoise, Carignan, Cinsault and Syrah delivers a palate bursting with delicate strawberry, raspberry and red cherry flavours. It’s complex but delicately nuanced with soft tannins and edges of juicy watermelon with a gentle creamy finish that lingers on the tongue. Just delicious, and great with roast lamb.

Lots of floral, exotic, almost tropical notes emerge from the 2019 Côtes du Rhône Villages Heredi Terre. It’s medium-bodied and has loads of black cherry and raspberry fruits, soft, supple tannins, and a juicy, clean finish. Enjoy this already complex, nicely balanced, undeniably delicious Côtes du Rhône-Villages any time over the coming 4-5 years. Jeb Dunnuck
