“Subtle but not invisible wood easily allows the aromas of lemongrass, petrol and various floral elements to shine. I very much like the intensity and texture of the medium-bodied flavors that possess the best depth and persistence of these three examples of St. Véran. One to consider. 89-91 ♥ Outstanding Top value” Burghound

Thibert 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé 'Les Cras'
640620
Regular price $151.00 Save $-151.00This cuvee is an assemblage of three closely-located plots: “Vers Cras”, “Vers Cras Vivarais” and Clos Gaillard” 46.287633. Average altitude of the three plots at 252 metres above sea level. Soil is composed of dark brown, fine beige and white limestone, often massive and hard, sometimes chalky (Jurassic period). The soil is thin and very stony. Vinification is 18 to 22 months, in barrels for 11 months, and for the rest of the time in stainless steel vats. Bottled with little or no filtration.
Huon Hooke “Light, bright yellow hue, with a honeyed, reductive bouquet, white flowers and subtle traces of toasted nuts. The palate is intense, lean and pleasantly straightforward, ie. not too heavily worked, with good length and a very dry, lingering finish, augmented by a subtle grip. It's still a baby and could reward further ageing. Drink 2020–2030”
