Situated in the village Premeaux-Prissey, Alain Meunier and his wife Sophie Meunier-Confuron assumed control of this wonderful Domaine from Sophie’s father, Jean-Jacques Confuron in 1988. Belonging to the new generation of Burgundian’s their philosophy is ‘biologique’ and their vineyards are ploughed by horse. A chorus line of superb vineyards commencing with their seriously good village Côte de Nuits ‘Les Vignottes’, the ever pretty ‘Les Fleurières’ within Nuits-St-Georges, two first class Nuits-St-Georges Premier Cru’s in ‘Les Chaboeufs’ and ‘Aux Boudots’, a very classy Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru, the prestigious Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru ‘Les Beaux-Monts’. Then the Grand Cru Clos Vougeot where the Domaine boasts 45-year-old vines in the very best part of the Clos at the top and the crowning glory in the treasure chest is undoubtedly the truly majestic Romanée-St-Vivant.
